How to print Vinted labels on a 4 × 6 thermal printer

Vinted is the classic version of this problem. The label itself is exactly the right size. It is just sitting in the corner of a much larger sheet.

What Vinted sends you

A Vinted label PDF is a single landscape page measuring 11 by 8.5 inches. The shipping label sits in the upper left corner of it, inside a printed frame, and measures almost exactly 4 by 6 inches. The rest of the sheet is empty.

The label carries the postage block, the service banner, the sender and recipient addresses, the tracking barcode, and a QR code at the foot.

Why it prints wrong

Send that landscape sheet to a 4 by 6 thermal printer and the driver has to make an 11 by 8.5 page fit a 4 by 6 one. It shrinks everything by roughly two thirds, so you get a tiny label floating in the middle of your stock with a barcode far too fine to scan. Some drivers crop to a corner instead, which cuts the label in half.

Printing it on a regular printer works, but then you are cutting each label out with scissors, and the label sits at an awkward spot on the page.

What Relabely does with a Vinted label

It finds the label by its printed frame and its barcode, crops it out, and drops the rest of the sheet. The label is already upright, so no rotation is applied. The result lands on a 4 by 6 page at about 95 percent, with a small margin so the frame does not run off the edge of the stock.

The frame is actually what makes this format reliable to detect. The thin printed border holds the label together as one region even where there is white space inside it, which is how the whole label gets picked up rather than just the barcode block.

Printing it

  1. Set the paper size to 4 × 6 in your printer driver.
  2. Choose actual size, with page scaling set to none.
  3. Check the tracking barcode is fully inside the label before you ship.

If your printer clips the edges slightly, raise the edge margin on the converter by a notch, which shrinks the label a fraction to give the frame more room.

A note on other European marketplaces

Vinted labels vary by carrier and country, and the layout above is the one we have measured. If yours comes out cropped in the wrong place, press Adjust and pick a different region or drag your own box. Sending the file through the contact page is genuinely useful, since every format handled well here was fixed against a real file.

Questions

Why does my Vinted label print tiny?

Because the PDF is an 11 by 8.5 sheet with a 4 by 6 label in one corner. Your printer shrinks the whole sheet to fit the label stock. Crop the label out first, then print at 100 percent.

Where is the label on a Vinted sheet?

Upper left, inside a printed frame, measuring about 4.02 by 6.01 inches. The rest of the page is blank.

Do I need to rotate a Vinted label?

No. Vinted prints it upright already, so Relabely crops it without rotating. The rotate arrows are there if your particular carrier differs.

My Vinted label looks different to this. Will it still work?

Probably, since the tool finds labels by frame and barcode rather than by a fixed template. If the crop is wrong, use Adjust to pick the region yourself, and send the file through the contact page so it can be handled properly.
